In Knitting News....

A knitted silk corset I won't be making any time soon. Not unless I have an experienced knitter to coach me through every goddamn stitch of it. I just look at this one and go "Daaaaaamn."

I've done 2 out of the 4 panels of the body of the handbag, and I'm closing in on the 3rd panel. It will be a race to see if I have enough of the knotted silk sari yarn or not, in which case I'll have to decide if I'm going to drop another $20 for a skein or come up with some clever solution, like knitting the shoulder strap out of another yarn of a similar weight.

Haven't decided whether to take some knitting along with me on the trip. It's not like I have a whole lot of free time during the work conference, but on the other hand, I'm definitely going to be sitting doing much of nothing in airports and such....
