In Knitting News....

A knitted silk corset I won't be making any time soon. Not unless I have an experienced knitter to coach me through every goddamn stitch of it. I just look at this one and go "Daaaaaamn."

I've done 2 out of the 4 panels of the body of the handbag, and I'm closing in on the 3rd panel. It will be a race to see if I have enough of the knotted silk sari yarn or not, in which case I'll have to decide if I'm going to drop another $20 for a skein or come up with some clever solution, like knitting the shoulder strap out of another yarn of a similar weight.

Haven't decided whether to take some knitting along with me on the trip. It's not like I have a whole lot of free time during the work conference, but on the other hand, I'm definitely going to be sitting doing much of nothing in airports and such....

Knitty.com had a knitted corset, which looked much much easier than that there. Shore is purty, though.

Aw hell, go for it. You can sit there and admire the pretty stitches until you are ready.

Wow, that's gorgeous. It would look like ass on me though, so fortunately I'm not tempted to, um, attempt it.

Oh, man, they're selling the Corset Tank pattern? It used to only be available as a kit from Spirit Trail Fibers, and was hella expensive. You have made my *day*.

Wow, those are amazing! I can see why you want to tackle them. I have tackled a few crocheting projects I'm not quite ready for myself. It's kind of fun in a stressful kind of way :)

Definately take your knitting with on the trip. You'll be sorry if you don't...and if you don't do any, well, it doesn't take up *that* much room :)
