Lifely Work Update
Sorry for not being updatey this week, I end up feeling like I've got dozens of things to write about, all of which will be intensely boring and/or already out of date.
Last night I worked til past seven, and was so tired of looking at computer screens that I watched some SciFi and went straight to bed. In fact, I think it was only Tuesday that I didn't stay at work at least until 6, and actually, that day I worked from home and had a late afternoon doctor's appointment.
Work is finally at our SAP Go-Live weekend -- for which we've been preparing (by my count) for two years actively, and three years if you count all the planning that was carefully done and then thrown out by New Management who decided to use cheap offshore developers....
Not that I'm bitter or anything. The non-bitterness is also helped by the knowledge that the above New Management have all left before the project was done and we seem to have more savvy ones again. Who got handed a royal mess.
Okay, definitely bitter. But actually kind of eager to get this damn weekend over with.
Today I've already worked a couple of hours -- from home, happily, and without too much stress or worry. I also had time to run out and get some grocery shopping done and stop by the vet's to pick up a very large bag of prescription cat food... which I decided had to go into air-tight containers. Large containers... which it turns out that I had to scrounge up out of the backs of cabinets and stuff. And then there was the pouring from the large bag, which the cats watched with desperate fascination.

But of course! You never know when Mommy might forget who the food is supposed to be for and let it go out of the house to... [whisper] other cats.

Especially because at least once a month, Butchy the Next Door Cat tries to casually stroll in when the front door is open. So there is a certain amount of Reasonable Threat in their pea-sized brains....
