Bookcrossing Away!

I 'released' two books at the Someday Cafe (in Davis Square) last night, the aforementioned The Tribe of Tiger by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, and also Absolute Zero and the Conquest of Cold by Tom Shachtman. I was very subtle -- took the books out of my backpack and put them on the big old living room table with their faces together so that nobody could see the stickies saying "Free book!" on them. Then I waited for a little bit, writing in my notebook, until a couple people had moved away from the table and new ones sat down, then I put my handbag up on the table, "accidentally" pushing the books more towards the middle of the table. Wrote a little bit more, then put away my journal, got into my jacket, picked up the handbag and strolled out on out.

My next book to release is Honey, Mud, Maggots, and Other Medical Marvels: The Science Behind Folk Remedies and Old Wives' Tale by Robert Root-Bernstein, unless somebody here wants it instead....
