Tales of Brave Theodosia

Here I was all set to relate a tale of woe, because my mission of mercy tonight ran aground in the less-attractive streets of Cambridge, where there lurk things like the FRESH-KILLED POULTRY store.

(No, really, I'm not making that up! It has to be a holdover from the days that there were stockyards in Somerville and Cambridge, and like that -- the days before there were refrigerated boxcars and trucks, and you pretty much had to have fresh-killed meat that had walked to your city on its own feet.)

But alas, the saga of how that came to be is not ready to be told in full yet, because it's not over, and might worry somebody needlessly....

(Speaking of birds? It is suspected that the swans that have been brooding eggs in the Public Garden for the past month are sitting on duds! They should have hatched by now, if they were gonna. Poor swans!)

I've been enjoying myself with the writing. In the past two days I've hand-written ten pages of semi-gay superheroes masquerading as supervillains. (Well, it's not much of a stretch for Loki, since a neutral frame of mind can go either way. But Iain is really pissed about it -- and angry!Iain is such fun to write.)

Wow, I really am more random than usual tonight, aren't I?
