now 57435 words in 282 pages -- according to the Word count, that's 1498 paragraphs with 6305 sentences.
You know what's weird? If instead of clicking on Word Count, you accidentally click on Auto-Summary... and then go ahead and see what result it gives you. I guess this feature makes sense with non-fiction and technical writing, where you may be able to pick something up about the structure and what points the piece is hitting, but with fiction... it gets a little strange. For one thing, it tries to grab all the really short sentences, what with all the dialogue, you get mostly the said tags, and it looks something like this:

Of course, maybe the Auto-Summary algorithm just really likes Paul Gross. I don't know, I just write the stuff.
