Gah, I've just been so exhausted tonight. I tried writing some fiction earlier, but it was like pulling my nails out one by one, and about as attractive, actually.
So I watched Smallville from last night, and Monster Garage left over from Monday. That's a big TV night for me! I'm not sure why I'm keeping up with Smallville, aside from wanting to have some basis to really enjoy Omar G's hysterically funny recaps over at Television Without Pity -- the show drags whenever Michael Rosenbaum (the young Lex Luthor) is off-screen.
Last night, I tried something new -- along with the TiVo recording the episode, I set up my computer to record the episode directly into an MPG file (playable by media players such as RealPlayer) on my computer. I've had the TV receiver module for a couple months now and have been meaning to try recording a show for playback, so this was it.
The interface is like a very primitive VCR -- you specify channel, start time and length -- and also quality of recording. At the lowest level, the hour-long file took up 880 megs... a bit too long to burn onto a CD.
Tonight I spent some time in IRC chat while I watched the Sox/Yankees game in a small window on my laptop. (I left off when the Yankees were up 6 to 2 in the 7th.) I feel very decadent, somehow.
Oh, and tired... time to get flat I think!
