vwbug move, (along with the help of helvirago, veejane, noradeirdre and others). Enough were on hand that even though we were moving her down from a second floor and up onto a third floor (over some flights of stairs with "interesting" hairpin turns in them), many hands made fairly light work.
Although, if the rain had held off until tonight, as had previously been forecast, all would have been well. At least nothing flew off the truck thatdxmachina brought to the proceedings, although the tarp that only partially kept the mattress from getting soaked looked like it was in danger of getting lost....
We finished off the afternoon by collapsing in the new apartment in front of the Cubs-Marlins game. Generally I don't pay any attention to baseball, but in the company of like-minded snarkers, it was actually kind of fun.
I came home to news that a friend who had moved away this summer was back visiting mutual friends up in NH, so I'll be going up for the afternoon there tomorrow. Right now I ache so much that I'm worried I won't be able to sleep... might as well give it a try!
