Whoosh

Can it really be Thursday night already? For a week where I've been dragging my tail, it sure seems to have gone fast! I can't believe that last week this time I was looking forward to my day with Trudy at Old Sturbridge Village... that went by so very fast.

Work has been busy-ish, which helps with the speed of life. We had to hurry up with some programs for a big demo, so I got to do some neat stuff with Lotuscript again. Because we had to test the new application on a field machine, I hd to bring mine in yesterday and today... which is a major pain, even in a backpack, because I walk a fair distance to the T. Good for me, I suppose, and since this laptop is a work machine, it's not like I don't owe something to work so if they ask me to bring it in, it shouldn't be a big deal.

I just like to complain.

But what was funny... currently I have a nice big picture of CKR in Torso up as the wallpaper on the laptop. (My desktop machine has a big satellite picture of Isabel stretching from Ohio to Nova Scotia.) Twice today, two different male coworkers -- who have never before commented on my desktop preferences that I can remember -- stopped to ask me who the guy was.

(I just said, Canadian actor from a movie I liked -- which is the truth. :-))

It isn't even that CKR is movie-star handsome -- he is handsome, I'd certainly say, but in a differently handsome way than standard good looks. He's in a 40s-conservative suit in this picture, with his hair combed back and wire-rim glasses on, not exactly what you'd think of as swoony... yet I got asked twice. The man has got something there.

Whatever it is he's got, it seemingly crosses gender lines. I note that it was your male colleagues who were asking.

He was hot in Torso, you have to admit. He was all quiet and intense. Very cool. Plus, man in a suit always gets me... ooh and the wire-rim glasses... mmmmm.... ;D
