Flashfiction shoe help?

What shoe size is a 5'11" guy going to take on average? I haven't a clue as to guys' shoe sizes, and of course I need to actually mention the size in the story the way it's turning out.

And if anybody knows what those shoe-size-measuring devices are called, that would be every so helpful as well....

I'm going to guess about an 11 on the size, but I'm guessing based on the few family and friends whose sizes I know; no idea if they're average-footed guys or not.

The measuring thingy is officially a Brannock Device. I've never actually heard it called anything but a foot-measuring device or tool or thing, but the brand name is one of those little things that I love knowing.

I'd say a 10 or 11. Although, it doesn't really matter. Anything froma 9 to a 12 would be fine. Height and shoe size don't always corellate.

My husband is 5'11", and he takes a size 11.

I'd guess a 9 or 10. And probably only a D width, not E, unless it's someone who spends way too much time on his feet.

I'm 5'11" and I'm a 12, although for most of my adult life I was an 11.
