Cleaning Meme
1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
Mopping, but almost any involving water that doesn't involve a sink. I used to hate doing dishes too, but I discovered that hot water and a scrubbing brush makes it tolerable. Generally I don't like getting my hands wet, and really dislike getting them coated in disagreeable substances. Rubber gloves are all that stand between me and a life of total squalor
2. Are there any that you like or don't mind doing?
Folding/putting away clothes. Vacuuming. Putting away dishes and silverware. Stuff where it's easy to make order out of chaos, and the choices aren't too hard to make.
3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed?
I try to put in a couple hours on the weekend to do the big tasks. Get my wireless headphones out and hook them up to the computer so that I can listen to Talk of the Nation or This American Life while I work away, because I get B O R E D so easily.
4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules?
I'm real particular how silverware gets put into the baskets in the dishwasher -- knives point down, spoons and forks not nested. (Probably this is more like "organizing" than "cleaning.")
5. What was the last thing you cleaned?
Litterbox! Speaking of disagreeable substances.

Sounds like I load the silverware basket the same way, too. Pointy ends down.
