A Mac Question.... (answered)

How do I set up my Mac to default to using Bean as the application to open all .Doc files? I've tried looking in Help, but all the keywords I can think of lead to dead ends, like setting up Mail as my mail default.

I installed Nisus Writer Express a couple weeks ago as an experiment, and it changed something so that all my .Doc files open in Nisus, so I know it can be set. I'd know how to change it in Windows, for sure. And I'm sure it can be done under OSX, but damn if I can figure out where to do it....

Edited to add: [livejournal.com profile] dcjensen came to my rescue with the answer:

Do a "get info" (command-i) on a .doc file, change the "open with" to Bean, and then click the "Change all" button. At least in Tiger.

I can't help with the MAC stuff, but I am dropping in to say I added you to my flist. 1. Because you have a LT account 2. Because you have read some of my favorite books, including Bridge of Birds.
Hope you don't mind, as I didn't see a friending policy in your bio.
