Squeeee Time

Hey! Waiting for me when I got home tonight was my shipment from Amazon.ca -- Due South Season 1 and Hard Core Logo DVDs! My big indulgence, but so far this year I've written 416 pages of first draft fiction as of today, so I deserve some treats.

I note with amusement that either some smart person in Amazon's marketing department noted that a lot of fans are buying both items together, or else the automatic algorithm that notes that a lot of people who bought A also bought B and put them together for a discounted bargain. At any rate, that was nice.

And also... the original estimate for delivery was between June 24th and July 1st, so this was a nice surprise indeed.

(I got all my car registration stuff taken care of yesterday, so now I can drive around again without fear of being stopped for expired registration and also I now have the proper parking sticker, so shan't be ticketed when I park on the street. And when I get back, The Amazing Race awaits my viewing pleasure...)

I ordered the HCL DVD today. Not the Season One DVDs though, they're a little pricey for my pocketbook, and not from Amazon. I'm hoping these people ship it in time for my birthday in a few weeks. I'll be squeeeeing the day it comes in. Happy viewing, Theodosia!

Be sure to check out the extra track on the HCL DVD, with Hugh Dillon, Bruce McDonald, and Noel Baker providing running and sometimes hilarious commentary on the film. Well worth the price of admission. (I am particularly amused by the rather tense silence that falls upon the group during John's "Joe fucked Billy up the ass" scene, but then I'm easily amused...)

Well, we didn't really plan to do it. I went over so we could study. But, she had just gotten the DVD so we popped it in...ended up watching all the special features.

But, I'm glad you didn't feel flat as a run-over cat last night!
