Due South Fiction Alert....

I finally got around to posting "Honesty" over at Due Slash, which is a standalone story not related to anything I've written here. Finished it a couple of months ago (my first DS story!) with the help of sarahsworld's beta but I didn't feel ready to unleash it on an unsuspecting public until I felt I had a successful grasp of canon. (Then ds_flashfiction came along and whapped me hard....)

I'm off to NJ and Buffycon tomorrow early. I'm splitting a room, so it's that, and the cost of gas and tolls, and food, so this will be a cheap trip compared to the last one. I'd better remember to bring my bathing suit!

You have no idea the number of BAD WORDS I just said. No idea at all. I grabbed the header off your file because I had it on my desktop (had saved it off for rereading while travelling) and I needed a good clean 'example' because I don't have any HTML editor on this laptop. And I =thought= I cleaned it up sufficiently....

I'm so sorry. I suppose there's some solace in stealing from thoroughbreds, but sheesh. At least you're laughing instead of mad, that's something.

(Needless to say... my story has NOTHING to do with your story -- the only element that could be considered 'poached' was the HTML header which I thought was entirely generic, like unto copying someone's manuscript format. Except that I forgot to edit out that one little line and I made the classic copywriter's mistake of not proofreading the page header.)

I'll write to the Due Slash crypt keepers and see if there's a way to edit the file. If not, I can take it down and fix....

Of course, of course--obviously it's just the code, and it ain't even my code!--it's the most basic kind of html layout, practically wusiwug. You're welcome to it! I'm just laughing because it took me a second to notice it, and then when I did, I thought--"oh, gee, that's funny, my browser's broken and turning everything into "About a dog"--and I clicked and tried to figure out what could cause that until I realized that it was embedded in your script. Do not even stress it. *g* Not on my behalf anyway, I could--as the kids say--care less. *g*
