Name 6 Shows Before Reading the Questions Meme...

ganked most recently from [livejournal.com profile] heuradys....

(and these shows were indeed chosen before getting the questions below.)

1. Due South
2. Stargate: Atlantis
3. Without A Trace
4. My Name is Earl
5. Star Trek: Deep Space 9
6. WKRP In Cinncinnati

Who is your favorite character from #2?

Rodney McKay because David Hewlett has such fun with him.

Who is your least favorite character from #4?

I'd have to go all the way down the list of regular characters to Catalina, the maid at the motel and sort of Randy's girlfriend... and that's only because they don't use her much and she hasn't been given enough of a character.

What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?

Heh. Either DS9 characters get thrown back in time through a space warp -- hey, it's happened before! -- or Fraser really pisses somebody off in the RCMP and gets shipped off to someplace even worse than Siberia. (Which could also explain a crossover with SGA, come to think of it.)

What is your favorite 'ship from #6?
Well, there weren't that many romances on that classic sitcom, but I'd have to go with Johnny/Bailey (It's obvious that Venus/Andy is the unstated 'ship there.)

If you were to fix up one person from #3 and one from #6 on a blind date, who would it be?
Bailey and hot Danny Taylor would make a good couple, I think. Jack Malone has the maturity to really appreciate Jennifer. Venus/Vivian? Andy/Samantha?

Mind you the shows are separated in time by about 25 or 30 years... if there was any show so very much part of its era, it was WKRP.

If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?
Well, Earl is clearly the smartest of them, plus he's out to Make Up For All the Wrong Things He's Committed, so of course I'd have to help him through the day. Probably there'd be a lot of semi-disasters, but it would all come out right in the end. Plus I could laugh at Randy.

If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would it be?
I'd have all the military people take the Geneva Conventions a lot more seriously... and that would include experimenting on Wraiths....

Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.
I liked the friendship between Garek and Bashir -- a bit fascinated with each other, and a bit appalled, too.

If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Given the choice between Jack Malone and Benton Fraser, I'd surely choose Fraser... but since a passing whale would probably rescue Our Favorite Mountie, given his luck, I'd throw the lifesaver to Jack first.

If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
I think the featured cast is pretty fairly credited -- it's clearly Jason Lee's show, with a strong and funny supporting cast. However, if I could, I'd add Beau Bridges as a featured character in a number of episodes because he's so DAMN funny as Earl's exasperated father.

If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like and what would their role be?
I think that WKRP needed some more female characters -- maybe a more feminist-than-thou female DJ to try to horn in on Venus or Johnny's timeslot.

What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?

McKay ends up with a female consciousness time-sharing his body. Hilarity ensues.

If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?

Um... Dewey? I mean, we already lost Louis? I wouldn't want to kill any more of the regular characters! ::hugs characters tightly::

If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?

Oh definitely #5 (which would require a time machine, but what the hey). I got to visit the set of Babylon 5 during early 4th season, and it was so!damn!cool! While I'm sure WAT would be interesting, it's just "regular" FBI offices, not the bridge of a space station, you know?

Oh, I caj see that. I can really see it, and it's hilarious.

We got a chance to do a tour around then, too -- they were filming "Hour of the Wolf" the day we were there (we were out there for LA Con III) and Patricia Tollman and Claudia Christian kept cracking each other up (during the scene in Ivanova's bedroom).
