The Buffy Meme
Hey, the show has only one series finale, so I might as well run through this list, if only to fix in memory what my immediate post-show-run impressions were.
1. Name your favorite character ever. Yes. You can only pick one.
Pushed up against the wall and required to blurt, I'd probably chose Faith -- flaws and jealousy and wild enjoyment, lying in the gutter and looking at the unattainable stars.
2. Give one line you love:
"They got the mustard out!"
3. Favorite three episodes.
"Superstar," "Something Blue," "Restless" -- ask me again another night and I'll give you three different ones.
4. Favorite villain
Spike -- beating out only by a hair Angelus and the Mayor. And Faith!
5. Favorite song used in a scene
I don't know the name of it, but the musical moment I treasure most is the far-too-irresistible Xander walking slo-mo down the hallway in "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered."
6. Favorite season
Ask me today and I'll say Three, with the Mayor and Faith, but ask me another day and I might say Two or One, or even Four, and I have favorite stretches from the other seasons as well.
7. Scariest episode
"Hush" -- hands down. Scariest this year was "Conversations with Dead People."
8. Best kiss/sex scene/romantic whatever... it can be tame or not:
"When you kiss me, I want to die...." Quelle Freudian!
9. Favorite relationship (of any kind):
I've quite liked Spike/Buffy -- not because their love was so pure (well, anyway before Spike Got Soul) but because it was so dysfunctional.
10. Set/location you'll miss the most:
I feel like I know the Summers house almost as well as I know my own... though mine doesn't need repairing nearly as often.
