My Even Newer Toy
Since buying The New Car, I've been hit with an urge to buy things. No, seriously, spending all that money makes much more piddling ($50... $100, even $200) amounts seem... piddling. You know as in "Why that only costs 1% of all I spent on the car." I come from a long line of cheap people, so this urge to spend seems rather foreign and suspect to me.
I thought I'd gotten all my urges for New Stuff out this summer. I got a new cellphone, an iPod, even a new stove. The other week, I even bought a Calphalon saucepan to sit atop of it, which is like the prettiest thing evah.
But there was one thing missing: my Palm Zire, which went missing lo these many months ago. I've been limping along with an old M125, which is black and white and very primitive.
So, as a reward for myself hitting a couple of personal milestones, I went to the Palm website and ordered myself an open box (i.e. returned & reconditioned) Palm Zire 72s, which is the souped up version of the 71 I had -- much more memory and storage, much faster response to everything, a markedly better camera (and it will take movies!!! silent, I think, but even so!!!) and all that a slightly tech-obsessed nerd like me could want to play with.

*snickers*
I've had that same thing, since spending all the money on the wedding (which, not as much as a car, but all at once, meh). Things that used to seem outrageously expensive no longer do.

(I have yet to wake up in a cold sweat realizing =that I owe over 100,000 dollars= so I guess the rejiggering worked.)

On the subject of pictures. I can never get enough of them. Thanks!
