VCD for Macs?
Does any of my Friend's List have experience with creating VCDs on a Mac? I found one program, iVCD, that does actually work... but it costs $29.95.
I don't have a DVD-writing drive, so that avenue is out.
I know it works because I tried it, and while it took over 12 hours to run, it did produce a VCD that played on the Toshiba DVD player. However, because this is a demo program, all frames of the VCD have large letters on them identifying the name of the program, the program company and the fact that it was created with a demo version.
Which, you know, is fair. I really just wanted to try out the program. There are occasionally programs that I want to copy out so I can share them with friends on the TVs rather than watching them solely on the computer. (Remember when we watched Global Frequency on the laptop?)
On the other hand, instead of $30 for a program, putting the money towards an external DVD-writer that I can connect to either the iBook or my Windows work laptop would make good sense....
