Knitting Thought
How much I'd like to try this one... though what I'd actually DO with it, I dunno.
I showed off the two lace scarves while I was visiting family and got a lot of kudos. I was thinking of trying the Samus sweater from Knitty.com, so I started trying to learn the 32 row pattern, which is turning out to be a hell of a bitch cookie -- took me since like last Friday to complete one repeat. Now, true that I've been figuring out how to use a proper stitch holder, but geeze, keeping what row I'm on straight is much more of an effort than it was with the lace knitting.
In fact, I just printed out the charted pattern, and colored it in so that I could see what rows have the 3PRC (that's 1 stitch held in back, knit 2, purl held stitch) or the 4LC (that's 2 stitches held in front, knit 2, knit 2 held stitches) or the 4PLC (2 stitches onto holder held in front, purl 2, knit two held stitches), plus every other row you're knitting or purling varying numbers of stitches.
Maybe I shouldn't be trying this in cotton yarn, which is notoriously inelastic -- wool is a lot more workable, and forgiving....

That Knitty.com sweater is gorgeous - I remember noticing it before. But the patt sounds like a bitch.
