The Moon Must Be In The Sign of FU
Okay, so I get to the Davis Square station at 8:55, just miss a train leaving, so I stand and wait. And wait and wait and wait, until maybe at 9:15 the next train finally pulls in. Get on, it's very crowded and I don't get a seat. And we eventually pull out, and then we get into a tunnel, and we slow to a stop.
And wait and wait and wait, and finally we pull into Porter -- which is the very next station, not a half-mile along -- and guess what? We wait even longer. Eventually, there is an announcement about 'signalling troubles.'
At 9:45, I decide I'd better call in, so I leave the train, go up the long escalator, get a cellphone signal, and let my boss know I'm delayed.
I finally get in, at 10:15, feeling like I'd been beaten with small golf clubs.

And now... they're having a FIRE DRILL....

FWIW, I had the same dealie going on, except I was running 10 minutes late when I got on the train, and got off it an additional 20 minutes late. Some auto-switch at Park is broken, so they have to run things manually, which is slower.
And I got nothing done before the fire drill!
