FWIW, the index "score" means that you write shorter sentences that are easier to comprehend. One can see how this could be an advantage for a teacher, after all. :-)

My results are eerily similar to yours (grade 9, 22.something number of words, 1.37 syllables). Clearly it's just more proof that we're twins. :)

I got a 10th grade listing, which really surprised me since I primarily post in LJ about hot celebrities or the latest blood pressure spike-inducing event at work. I wouldn't have thought lots of ARRRRGHHHH!'s would average out that high.
