Chairman of the Bored

Let's see, my day consisted of:

1. Napping
2. Rereading some of Going Postal because squeeesqueeesqueee new Pratchett is coming out this week
3. More napping
4. Watching some of Ghost World which I've had loaded up on the TiVo for weeks and weeks. Steve Buscemi is a helluva good actor, btw.
5. Forcing icky-tasting cough medicine down my throat
6. Surfing the Internet
7. Inviting [livejournal.com profile] farwing over to see the SciFi Friday shows because she missed, what with having a life and all, and she was at leisure today. We both hope that she is so bouncy that my germs will have bounced right off her. (I am too wasted to remember to be all hostessy and offer her refreshments, but they probably all would have come with a germ chaser, so just as well.)
8. Worked on my knitting while she watched -- I've gotten a good start on The Actual Orenberg-Style Scarf, in the mohair & silk yarn. It is going to be fabulous
9. Coughing
10. Calling to find out about my car. Heard from the insurance claims person after 5 PM, the car was seen, but the information isn't in her system yet. So it remains Schroedinger's Car for yet another day.
11. Napping.
12. Took a picture of Chumley (see below)

Chumley Lounges

Chumley's on the porch, sprawled out on the chair, on a sunny and hot (91!) afternoon. Do you think he could be any smugger?

In other news, I'm coughing a lot less and remaining upright for longer periods, so I have hopes that I may recover in time for tomorrow....

What a great cat! Love that photo!

I really hope you feel better AND get your car all fixed up pronto.

Y'know, even though I was at Noreascon Four and all, I (*gulp*) never have read any of Terry Pratchett's books (*blush*). I picked up "Hogfather" once (it was being passed around through BookCrossing (http://www.bookcrossing.com)) but I haven't read it yet. Should his books be read in any particular sequence in order to make sense?
