Knitter Natter

Feeling a little more upright, but not much less sick... in the meantime, I took some pictures last night, of the sweater I finished a while back (hadn't realized I never took a picture of it) plus some more of the Orenberg-style scarf that I made so much progress on while hanging out at the wedding yesterday....

Sitcom Sweater

This is the one that I did from a knitty.com pattern. Done in purple Cotton-Ease, and with decorative lace stripes added to the body. My first sweater!

Orenberg Scarf Progress

Remember the test scarf I was working on a few days ago? I've been making lots of progress, and here it is... about the size of a doll's afghan. My original aim was to frog it all out from here and start all over again with the right yarn, et cetera, but I like this so much that I might just keep it as is.

Orenberg Scarf Detail

Here I've just turned the corner. This is working on short rows -- the vertical rows are the back and forth "body" of the scarfette, while the horizontal rows are the edging. Where they meet is a K2tog, so that it lies flat and joins prettily.

Note the mistake I made in the lower part of the join seam. No idea how I did that, other than not doing the right stitch!

...it looks kind of like a placemat. (it's the size. if it was longer it would look like... uh... a runner. >.< ) it looks really good, tho. lacy!

Lovely!

Reminds me that I should load up my camera with film and photograph all my recent project.
