Nyaah Nyaah Meme

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] jonquil and [livejournal.com profile] katallison:

A book you own that no one on your friends list does: a five volume set of Little Nemo in Slumberland, printed at nearly original size. The dialogue is beyond awful, the plot (what there is of it) makes no sense, the best you can say for the racial stereotyping is that it's less awful than much of its contemporary period... but OMGWTFPictures!

A CD you own that no one on your friends list does: I, Swinger by Combustible Edison. Light, poppy lounge/jazz that has a trick of sounding like the soundtrack to movies you'd love to see.

A DVD/VHS tape you own that no one on your friends list does: Hmmm... I'll go with Hayao Miyazaki's Porco Rosso which a friend sent me. For domestically/commercially produced films, Get Crazy.

A place you've been that no one on your friends list has been: Bahia de los Angeles, halfway down the Baja peninsula, where I went on an Earthwatch expedition a few years ago to census the spider population on small islands in the bay. Real desert islands! Dolphins, whales, seals, pelicans, scorpions, stingrays, lizards, cactuses, more cactuses, spiders spiders spiders!

Comment me if I'm not alone on any of these, of course.

No, I don't have the 5-volume Little Nemo, but I know and love LN and crave the big set mightily.

Porco Rosso? That is so very cool! I have a friend who would not shut up about that and NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Winds *G*. I am so tickled you have it!

I have the feeling that your collection would amuse me ever so much *G*.

Oh, Porco Rosso! I've seen it, but I don't have it.
