A Mac Query

Damn it! I bought The Sims: Makin' Magic for the Mac today and installed it, only to find that it claims that I have to have OS 8.6 or higher if it's to run. I have 9.0.4. Closer inspection of the box indicates that the System Requirements are 'Mac OS 9.2.2 or Mac OS X version 10.1 or later." I can only find a free update on the Internet for 9.2.1... was there ever a 9.2.2 or am I doomed to have to finally update to OS X on my iMac?

Edited to add: I eventually did find a 9.2.2 -- but I have to first upgrade to 9.1 and then to 9.2.1 first. Oy.

Wow. That would be really grumpy making. I heard that there was a deal going on now where I could buy two-for-one old expansion packs. I would do Vacation & Superstar, I think. I think those are the only ones I'm missing.

When Vacation came out, I was having a philosophical battle over whether or not I could justify spending over a hundred dollars on the same game. But I shoulda. I spent hundreds on online gaming, dunno why this should be any different.

I love how games require systems that nobody ever has except serious gamers, thus 'causing the gamer to drive the hardware market.
