Down to the Bone.
I saw Down to the Bone with
lynnmonster tonight! And we both agreed it was a very good movie -- not a sweet or happy one, but a realistic and absorbing drama that kept us interested all the way through.
The cast was altogether excellent, and it may well be Hugh Dillon's best performance to date -- he was soft-voiced and subtle and quite a bit heart-breaking. And Lynn and I agreed -- while he may have looked awful in the Sundance photographs, he was incredibly good-looking. (In fact I might go so far as to say he was CKR-level handsome here.)
Afterward, Lynn and I were bemoaning our inability to get screencaps. I would indeed recommend seeing this movie -- it's not slashy in the least sense -- but it is heart-breaking and a good drama. (And I really want to know what happened to the characters later on.)
Okay, I'm sitting in my Mom's kitchen writing this and I've got to get to bed. The whole escape-from-Manhattan thing after the movie went smooth as silk, but I've got to get some rest now. I can hardly wait to see what Lynn has to say!

And I take it Hugh does not die in this one? I knew it was not going to be a happy movie, but I hate the thought of having to watch him die again *G*.
