Notes Left Around My House Today
Dear Muppet;
Dear Chumley;
Dear Yum Yum;
Dear Piemur;
Please don't hiss at Piemur. It's not his fault his Mommy has to leave him with us for two weeks, and that he's very nervous so he keeps wandering around and annoying you. Or that I keep having to pet him and reassure him, which makes you jealous. If you'll just stop hissing for a while, I'm sure he'd calm down.
Dear Chumley;
It's OK to come out of hiding. Piemur isn't going to hurt you. How the hell are you going to keep your reputation as a rough tough boy cat if you act like a large stripey marshmallow?
PS Piemur is declawed.
Dear Yum Yum;
Please stop the hissies and the aggression. Following Piemur around glaring at him and making him generally unwelcome isn't helping his nervousness in any regard. Anyway, aren't you the cat who hated Chumley so much she spent most of a year living in the study closet?
Can it, or I'm going to duct-tape Chumley and Piemur together to see whether you decide to attack or retreat.
Dear Piemur;
Your Mommy loves you and will be home soon. Act calmly and move slowly and the other cats will calm down soon enough and we will get through these next two weeks just fine.
PS While it's true that a cat died here, we never proved that any of the other cats had anything to do with it, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I'd demand solid proof of their innocence if I were him/her.*g*
I think duct-taping the cats together is definitely . . . an interesting idea. ;)
