(via melymbrosia originally from ide_cyan) Reversing Vandalism - After a vandal damaged over 600 books in the San Francisco Public Library's gay/lesbian/bi/trans collection, the librarians couldn't bear to throw out the damaged books, so they asked area artists to create artworks out of them instead.

Some are so beautiful... really worth clicking through.

Thanks for posting this link. There are some really beautiful pieces there, some things I didn't understand, but that's art in a nutshell, I guess. I loved the one of the hand with "What were you afraid we'd learn?" magnified.
