Ficky Things
Just got the beta back on Q4, so I will be plunging into that soon... but for a few minutes, when I got home tonight, my night was wide open -- nothing to do but find amusement for myself, no unfinished project hanging over my nights and days.
It was terrifying, let me tell you. One thing about a large fic project, it expands into every corner of my life, and I forget how much I structure all of my "free" time around it... until it's gone.
Soon enough I'm going to have the damn Body Swap finished, and then I'll just have to figure out what to do with all that free time.
In other news, tomorrow features some outpatient surgery. I've got this weird little cyst on my chest that needs to be removed -- no biggie, I doubt it'll be more of a problem than mole surgery, which I've had. Which means a half-day at work, and then home in the afternoon tolick my woundrecover. I'm seriously hoping I don't need any major painkillers afterwards (with the moles I didn't) because that way I can work on the Body Swap... but we'll see.
It's possible that I'll have to be out on Friday, but actually I'm hoping not -- I'm still hot on the T&E application, which I made major progress on today. It turns out that we're going to need a solution to the T&E databases sooner than we thought, because some of our servers are going to go over to Notes 6 as of May 2nd... which GAH is just a couple weeks away.
Next Monday is a holiday here in Massachusetts -- Patriot's Day -- which means I get a three-day weekend to work on stuff.
So it seems certain that the Body Swap will be finished and up pretty soon. Lots of chewy stuff to work on in the beta, so I hope it'll be better for taking a proper amount of time on it....
