Exciting Cat News!!!
Oh, before I fall asleep here, I just wanted to give a Cat Bulletin. While I was out tonight, Rosemary (my roommate, and Yum Yum's actual Mommyowner) caught Yum Yum sneaking down onto the first floor! Which is, like, the first time she's done that in maybe a year or two. She evidently didn't stay long, but that's more adventuresome than she's been for... well, a long time.
A couple days ago, to gently 'encourage' her, I shut the doors on the study closet she's been sleeping in for the past year. My evil plan has seemed to work out well enough, because aside from a couple times she's pawed at it, she's been sleeping out in the open on my bed or Rosemary's, often sprawled out, which is pretty happy body language for a cat....
