Warmville

I did, in fact, get the furnace relit, and have been basking in the warmth since then. I also ate a spot of dinner and watched a little TV left over from last week on the TiVo.

The journey homeward was entirely unremarkable, aside from the fact that AirTran was offering a free round-trip ticket to anyone who would give up their seat on the flight in return for taking a later flight. Even though I had already arranged to take tomorrow off, it didn't tempt me much at all. When I'm feeling sleep-deprived and achey and are altogether too anxious to get home, I guess I have a shockingly high price.

I heard about Wonderfalls' cancellation while at ConneXions, which is angry-making, because I really think this kind of show needs more than four episodes to find an audience. I'll keep my LiveJournal design up for another day at least. Alas, alas.

Muppet appears glad to see me, or at least she's been sticking around, she's sprawled by my side right now, licking herself contentedly. I've only seen Yum Yum twice briefly since I got in the door, but she usually isn't shy about asking for food or attention if she needs it.

Word from my Mom about Chumley is that he's gotten good at leaping up onto the kitchen counter, the better to bonk his head on the Plexiglas in-window birdfeeder above the kitchen sink. It must be like Cat-TV to him.

I'm going to get some sleep now, and maybe tomorrow I can wax eloquent about gay sex video, curling, and fanvid shows. And name-check some of the wonderful Due South people I got to talk to this weekend....

I agree about needing more than 2 or 3 episodes to build an audience.

Even though I loved it AT ONCE. But I've been reading many comments from people who've said that this last episode was the one that really made them fall in love with the show.

I really liked the fourth episode the best of them all. Aaaaargh.
