Todoneville
Okay... that list of to-dos I posted? Except for the caffeine mints and the complete new wardrobe shopping expedition -- it's done. I've even located my bathing suit, which hasn't seen the light of day since I was in San Francisco. Either I had more cool clothes than I thought or my standards are getting much lower for "cool."
I've gone over my packing list, I've got everything but this laptop and the Zire into their bags, I've got my clothes laid out for tomorrow, I'm sitting in bed with the two cats by my side -- opposite corners of the bed, yo.
And I've been in contact with Ye Old College Roommate (
luscious_purple) so we've got a plan to get together for the afternoon in Baltimore, yay! Touristy goodness awaits.
My plane's at 8:25, so I must call the taxi by two hours before... so if I get up at six, I think that will do. That gives me enough time to stumble around and get the few remaining things donned or into their respective containers.
Oh, and on that list earlier? Q4 has been sent out to the betas. I've still got to input a large set of changes, and get back this set, but I think it safe to say that betas willing, the Body Swap will be out sometime next week, depending on what the betas find.
I'm still waiting on poll results from earlier today, but I would have to say that Being Benton Fraser is by far the favorite at this point. I have a minor qualm that the title that way will recall Being John Malkovich which is a dark movie I thought was quite worthwhile (I won't say I enjoyed it lavishly -- at heart, it's about rape) but not exactly alight-hearted romp. Which the Body Swap definitely is....
Anyway, I'm sorry it's not out in time for ConneXions, but it's something to look forward to afterwards, when we're back in our workaday lives and it'll be months until the next big occasion...!

"Being Ray Kowalski" was among the title candidates for the story that ended up being called "Simply Ray". I actually liked it a lot, but at least one of my betas thought it was a joke and the rest of them gave it a resounding "eh". If BBF turns out to be your title, I will be very happy for you!
